Pause internet et littérature : The composites, portraits littéraires

1 Contexte
Le site The Composites, propose des portraits robots à partir d'extraits littéraires. Il se sert de logiciels qu'utilise la police pour établir ses composite pictures. "An artist uses police sketch software to (re?)create some of the best-known characters in literature."
L'artiste s'appelle Brian Joseph Davis. Il a eu cette idée originale après s'être passionné pour les kits plus classiques utilisés par la police du siècle dernier (voir image ci-contre).

Les résultats sont plutôt étranges, une part de notre imaginaire s'envole... mais à vous de voir siles 'composites' d'Emma Bovary ou de Tess correspondent vraiment à la description faite par les auteurs.

Emma Bovary, Madame Bovary, Gustave Flaubert

She was pale all over, white as a sheet; the skin of her nose was drawn at the nostrils, her eyes looked at you vaguely. After discovering three grey hairs on her temples, she talked much of her old age…Her eyelids seemed chiseled expressly for her long amorous looks in which the pupil disappeared, while a strong inspiration expanded her delicate nostrils and raised the fleshy corner of her lips, shaded in the light by a little black down.

Une piste d'exploitation évidente de ce site est de travailler d'abord sur les portraits littéraires qui se trouvent sous les images (voir les extraits ci-dessus), puis d'associer portrait robot et parties pertinentes de la description utilisées par le logiciel...
